About the conference

A gathering for the statistical community

The School of Statistics and Actuarial Science at the University of the Witwatersrand is delighted to host the Annual Conference of the South African Statistical Association (SASA), bringing together statisticians from across South Africa and beyond for a vibrant, in-person event.

Preceding the main conference, a series of workshops will offer hands-on skills development. An exciting line-up of national and international speakers will provide global perspectives on contemporary statistical research and practice.

The conference welcomes postgraduate students, early-career researchers, established academics, and industry practitioners — a meaningful opportunity to network, exchange ideas, and advance the statistical community.

Conference fees

Registration is not yet open for SASA 2026. Early bird rates will be available for a limited time — you will be able to secure your place at a reduced rate. All fees are in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT.
